TEDxOaklandUniversity

The University is thrilled to be hosting our newest TEDxOaklandUniversity event on March 27, 2017. TEDx events are truly one-of-a-kind ways to share ideas, inspire wonder, and bring the community together to celebrate innovation and provoke the imagination. TEDxOaklandUniversity will feature an evening with some of the best and brightest minds sharing their passion, wisdom and innovations. The theme of the event is Connections! Bring an open mind and a willingness to discuss and interact with others.

Today, Oakland University, located in Rochester Hills, Michigan, hosts a student population of over 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students, has over 94,000 alum, over 150 bachelor’s, doctoral, master’s and certificate programs, and has a sister campus in downtown Mt. Clemens, Michigan.  Many universities and communities in the metropolitan Detroit area, including Michigan State University, the University of Michigan, and the city of Detroit, have hosted TEDx events in the past.  As supporters of TED, the organization, and these community TEDx events that have come to our area, we are thrilled to be hosting our second TEDx Oakland University event on October 23, 2015, in support of TED and our friends in the community.  We are excited because TED truly is a special organization, and these events are truly one-of-a-kind ways to share ideas, inspire wonder, and bring the community together to celebrate innovation and provoke the imagination.
